2期は監督が変わってる。1期の吉原監督は2期OPの絵コンテ・演出で関わってるけど、メインじゃない。1期監督はBlack Clover/Chainsawmanのアクション監督として有名なタイプ。

海外コメントで多かった**「魔導士たちが危機の最中でも差別を続ける」**現象、確かにイラっとするけど、これが現実的なんですよね。差別意識って一晩で変わらない。むしろ危機こそ「自分たちの方が偉いんだ」と必死に主張するのが人間の弱さで、作者はそれを描いてる。Willが覚醒して街を救っても、おそらく彼らはすぐ前の態度に戻る。それを覚悟して戦うのがWillの強さ、というキャラクター造形だと思います。
ロスティが粉々に砕けるあの描写、海外ファンが「エルフィーのクローン説」の伏線として捉えてるのは原作未読組の自分でも納得。「ずっと君と一緒にいる」というセリフを死ぬ前に言わせたのも、明らかに後で意味が変わってくる構造。原作組の反応をネタバレなしで見ると、何か用意されてるのは確実です。
気になるのはアニメーション。海外ファンが「PowerPointっぽい」とか「明らかに1期より弱い」と指摘してるのは、見てて確かに感じる部分。監督交代の影響かもしれませんが、シリーズ全体の評価に響かないか心配です。次回、Willの覚醒シーンで作画力を投入してくれることを期待してます。
