Author is just so good at polishing all those small common tropes that are just ultra cool to everyone. The very obvious thing is the spell chanting. Not only is spell chanting COOL AF, but he is addressing the weakness it carries — being unable to do anything else while doing it, including moving, attacking or defending. It was just a small detail, but he does it constantly, and all those little things stack to make this show just so fun.

I'll never get tired of magic users resorting to using their fists after running out of magic. Too bad the other two stopped them. It really upsets me to see Elfie and Will ripped apart again. I get it, Will would probably learn more from Zeo, but I would rather see them happy together. Glad Season 3 is already confirmed so it'll be interesting to see the gang hunt for the traitor.

I've been bombed for saying this before, but yeah, Elfie is... crazy. She's not in a healthy and wholesome relationship; they have this obsessive toxic co-dependency that hurts both of them. The Tower is the one thing standing between this world and Armageddon, and the Magia Vander are at the front lines. But Elfie doesn't take this seriously: the only thing she cares about is Will. I know she's just ~15 and Will is the only family this orphan has, but she needs a whole TON of emotional maturity before she's ready to stand by Will.
アニメ勢としては、最後にあの再会シーンを足してくれて本当に嬉しい。二人の再会をずっと待ってたから、少しでも前向きな終わり方になって救われた。次々と障害が増えていくのは正直ちょっと辛かったからね。せめてもの“パンくず”、ありがたく受け取るよ(笑)

As anime only I'm VERY happy they added that reunion so we could leave this season on a slightly more positive note regarding those two. Even if Will will benefit much more from the lightning faction, it was getting quite annoying how more and more roadblocks were thrown in front of their reunion. I'll take the breadcrumbs at least, haha.
