Usopp's dialogue here is interesting. Instead of calling himself out for cowardice or having an enemy call him out, he's reversing the scenario back on his opponent's face and calling out **their** cowardice.

He's taking that "warrior's flag" aspect of his dream mentioned on Little Garden seriously, where this isn't about just protecting his friends like usual or even protecting the innocent like in Dressrosa, but rather a battle about proving one's honor. Usopp is valuing the notion of fighting on the frontline and calling out Imu's combat style in opposition, that's a first from him. Makes me wonder what Usopp's specific resolution to his dream will be, considering how psychological of a dream it is compared to the other Straw Hats' external ones. Elbaf could possibly give us the answer.

I mean I feel this is the culmination of Usopps journey, this is Oda showing us that he is a brave warrior of the sea. He’s overcome all his flaws and stands there criticising and willing to die against essentially the biggest source of evil and injustice in the world for no other reason than it being the right thing to do.

Usopp disappointed people last chapter and I couldn't fathom why. But this chapter they can't be disappointed again because my boy stood up to Imu and called them a coward! And he prepared to attack! Fucking right on!

Something I haven’t seen anyone mention is that almost every chapter in Elbaph (besides the flashback, obviously), Usopp almost always made a comment about new things happening around him. It feels like we, the reader, are experiencing the events of Elbaph through the eyes of Usopp.

God Usopp finally found his match

Seeing that demon pop out from the giant chef after being slapped by Chopper kinda reminds me a bit of Moria's shadows. Except for this time instead of taking shadows, Imu has the ability to insert a shadow(devil). This is probably why so far no DF users have been able to be domi reversi-ed, since the body is already inhabited by the fruit's devil. Also considering the mural's line of "forest god taming the devils", and how Chopper freed the giant here without killing, there's a good chance his human fruit could be the forest god model.

Many theories have been put forward about why Chopper can reverse the Domi Reversi, Forest God, Drum's all-healing mushroom, Hito Hito no Mi being the natural enemy of Imu's power, but I don't know which one to believe. I'm just happy for the Chopper hype going on right now with this, the Live Action and him becoming a supporter of the Doctors Without Borders.

Imagine Imu realizing this and Choppers bounty goes from lowest to highest on the crew. (Not higher than Luffy though)

Tbf the Chopper one is pretty accurate to the hype. He flipped a giant WITHOUT haki or inflicting lethal damage. So it might be something with his DF

I'm 200% certain that Nami's shouting is her just teetering on the edge of unleashing actual Supreme King haki. She's the one Gaban was talking about. She made Loki flinch!

I'm still certain Nami has conquers haki. And it is the strongest, which is why she only uses it subconsciously when smacking luffy.

That Ragnir and Luffy panel was peak comedy

He called Xebec "Davy Jones" as well. I think this points to Imu being childishly trapped in the past, he is so obsessed with his generation of people that he knew that he doesn't even consider anybody from the modern day a person. If they take the same role as one of those people had in the past, they're just the same person as back then to him.

Imu referring to power holders by the names of their fruit - e.g. Nika, Nidhoggr, strikes me as an odd personalization. It makes me wonder if Imu was a devil fruit user whose will got subsumed completely to some mythical Zoan fruit.

Love all the clues Oda is dropping on how Domi Reversi works. I don't think Chopper can necessarily reverse it but he was strong enough to knock him down which seems to then reverse it. Here it seems like Zoro notices this too! And if you notice: The giant captains fell forward and transformed back to normal on their back...! I guess this all plays by the rules of Reversi, which could give us a clue to Imu's actual powers working like the game! Great last few chapters!

The biggest dick move Imu could pull would be to release the Domi Reversi the exact moment before their attacks are about to land.

He probably met the original people that had these powers, so to him these are just reincarnations of them.

I love how self-aware the crew is about being a Yonko crew; now, they come to expect certain things regarding their strength or reputation. Usually I would've expected them to react to the Yonko announcement when it first happened and then carry on through the story as if that was always the case but it's been 2 arcs since it dropped and Oda still flexes it on occasion.

Once again, leakers were leading many fans astray with incorrect information because of their biases towards certain characters. Many people are now convinced that Zoro's group's attack didn't work just because one of them said so, as if it were stated in the chapter itself. They also hyped Sanji and Chopper so much that when the chapter came out, many people were disappointed because it wasn't all that they made it seem. Once again, it's proven how much these leakers ruin the experience of One Piece chapters for the fandom.
