I love how she was doubling down so hard on the "Dear Friend" bit and acting like a tsundere to try to move on and not inconvenience Aqua with her feelings...only for him to, once again, make her think she has a chance and she screwed herself over lol.

"I think of you as a friend and nothing more." Hahahaha Kana self loss. Friendzones herself literally seconds before Aqua says he's single.

Kana lied to herself thinking she's not good enough for the showbiz.

More Shiranui Frill please. Her acting and comedic side still amaze me.

Shiranui Frill would unironically make a good comedian. She'll have the best deadpan humour keeping the straightest face.

Just flexing Asami Seto, as she deserves. Frill's as great an actress as Mai Sakurajima.

Frills's monotone voice made me think she was just a boring and kinda laid back type of character, and then she hits me with that phenomenal acting and proved me wrong where she suddenly change from a monotone voice to acting with emotion. I freaking love this anime

Frill's inner conflict about being a top star who doesn't have to audition, but preferring to be judged by her merits, echoes young Kana's inner conflict back in S2E7

I love how Frill went from Nano to Nobara in a split-second and is yet another quirky but extremely talented actress in the cast.

Ruby is about to become unlocked at the end there. Does she understand the movie is about her mom?

Akane's definitely gonna work out what this is all about again, isn't she? Her life would be so much easier if she would just stop analysing

Akane's also probably figured it out and will realize that Frill is just giving Ruby a chance to prove she deserves to play her mom.

I think you could even see at the end that she's starting to put the pieces together about why Frill is doing this. Especially because she'll probably figure it out completely if Ruby tries to impersonate Ai.

I think Ruby would make a crazy selection for the role, and I'm kind of wondering why the director isn't seeing the commercial appeal in Ai's own daughter playing the role - surely this will create a considerable amount of buzz?

Because the investors want Frill, and going against their decision could mean losing their support if they're not satisfied with the replacement. It's a gamble when they're already struggling to find people willing to sponsor a film about a sensitive topic.

The ending scene. Ruby stuck between needing to lie to achieve her goal and despising them with all her heart. Light Ruby or Dark Ruby? Which side will win out?

I love that instead of making the production committee choose who's gonna play the lead role, Frill has taken it upon herself to hold an acting showdown

Unexpectedly, best girl turns out to have been Gotanda all along.

Aqua: I no longer have any wide-eyed illusions about leading a happy life. Jeez, no wonder he’s named Aqua, dude is constantly drowning himself in his own internal abyss, and keeping himself from being happy.

They really did a great job capturing Akane as a girl still reeling from a bad breakup with a guy she was really into and is very sensitive whenever his name comes up.

Look, she may be a cynical, world-weary, idol out for revenge...but that's not going to stop her from being a teen girl who tries to talk to cats.

Oof at Ruby meeting Akane again right after she and Aqua have publicly announced their breaking up. Even though Ruby has stopped talking to Aqua, it doesn't make seeing Akane again any less awkward.

Honestly, episodes like this remind me why I enjoy this series so much. It balances serious moments with fun character interactions really well, and the overall cast just has great chemistry.

This is like the only anime I can remember where when the opening starts playing I feel this sense of "I'm watching something important" it's really weird and a testament to how insanely well written this show is

Every Oshi no Ko episode ending either hype or cliffhang us to no end. The cliffhanger of every episode had me waiting excitedly every Wednesday which is rare nowadays.
