I’m not sure who enjoyed watching this episode more, me or Frieren 😂

Omg they cooked. Stark tanking the hits, Genau doing the chuuni pose, Methode ara farming, Fern orbital strike, Frieren sipping tea. So perfect.

Oh my god, that was absolutely awesome

Man the amount of effort from the animators put into the WEIGHT of movement and physics in the action sequences are fantastic.

Sir, a second Kouki Fujimoto episode has hit the winter season.

Just watched the Japanese premiere. The direction, storyboarding, and animation in this episode was so good. Hopefully Madhouse still manages to get same goated staff next season

I guess it's both a blessing and a curse that this show can tell such a great story in such a small amount of time but I really wanted this episode to last 30 minutes longer. So many great moments to even mention but I cheered when it got to Fern's time to shine.

Thought we were taking a break from slice of life but there was an awful lot of life sliced this episode. Wew.

So we know that Serie didn't pass Methode just because she said she's cute, this woman used to hunt demons for sport.

So aside for being Mommy Methode can do close combat, proficient in many spells, can do goddess healing magic, a bit insane and a battle maniac. 10/10 best girl, Mother, WOULD!!!

yeah its clear now that she did not even try to go all out during the first class exam.

An episode worth re-watching many times because: 1) Awesome battle. 2) More importantly, "ara ara" from Methode in battle mode and in casual mode are equally charming!

When she started talking about how fun magic is, you know she's broken, that's only resevered to those at the top of the food chain.

Rewatching season 1 mage exams arc with the context of Methodes real identity would be interesting... Also I like how the anime portrayed her magic being red color, probably shows her clans affinity of bloodlust against demons.

Methode could be one of the most dangerous mages out there with her arsenal. Pretty much a jack-of-all-trades who happened to master the trades as well. She pretty much was responsible for turning the tide in favour of her side.

Stark and Genau vs Revolte was the embodiment of "'Tis but a scratch"

Stark learned well from his master. And Fern learned well from hers!

"Battles are won by whoever's still standing at the end!" - You're so damn cool, Stark! Eisen would be so proud! I'm so happy to see Stark and Genau work together. This is truly Stark's season to shine.

Genau can try to claim he's not a good person all he wants, but he still ended up doing exactly the same thing his partner did in the end. And not even for a real child... Stark certainly can see it.

Yes Fern, Stark is a freak of nature he just tanked so many hits and kept going.

Revolte earned his due. Almost killed Stark and Genau

I was waving goodbye once Fern disappeared from that demon's senses, 10/10 episode

Frieren says she didn’t invite Methode to leave a spot open for Sein but we know its really because she didn’t want to get caught in a love triangle/rivalry between Methode and Fern.

The way they framed Fern's Zoltraak similar to how pilots would dive with the sun behind them, but backed a moon instead, was just peak aesthetics honestly.

Fern is like the level 50 stealth archer in Skyrim.

Frieren be like: "Everyone is fighting to their death huh? Time to fly back and relax"

Somewhere out there, a middle-aged priest in a pub is suddenly struck by a wave of despair, though he knows not why…

He felt a disturbance, as if his party just ran into the one-san of his dreams and he wasn’t there to meet her. He is trying to convince himself that he is just drunk but can’t stop feeling despair

Stark rightfully called out that Frieren should have let Methode tag along. Nothing would have made Sein come running back like hearing her party had a beautiful older lady in it.
