I might just be hearing things but diegos theme sounding similar to dio’s is. Chefs kiss. One of the things I was most excited about when it comes to sbrverse getting adapted is musical motifs reappearing. It makes me extra excited for part 8 because Koichi’s theme is one of my favourites so getting to hear some remixed form of it for Yasuho is going to be incredible!

Might be too early to say but I think this is my favorite art direction in all of Jojo so far just from this one episode. The color palettes are perfect, the style is so new yet familiar, and all the animation just flows together perfectly from scene to scene.

48分のスペシャルじゃなかったら良かったのに、と思う。あまりにも多くの瞬間が「息をつく暇」がないように感じたし、細かい説明が削られすぎている気がする。でも予告編よりずっと良くなっていたし、レースは最高にエキサイティングだった。

My main takeaway is that I wish this wasn’t a “48 minute special” episode. Makes it so very few moments can really “breathe” yknow? (While also omitting a few too many details and bizarre explanations, imo.)
サンドマンが他の部族から逃げ出す方法が変更されたのは嬉しいな。漫画では不明確だったけど、土地を熟知しているから穴に落ちて逃げるというのは筋が通っている。こういう細かい修正がアダプテーションを最高にするんだ。

I was so happy when I saw they changed the way Sandman escaped the other natives. In the manga it was really unclear and felt like Araki was building up a different character, but him falling down a hole cause he knows the land makes perfect sense. Minor fixes like that could make this adaptation excellent.
